Gillian Cockayne

Gillian Cockayne is an experienced intellectual property professional with a strong background in patent law and management. Currently serving as Patent Counsel at Ceres Power since February 2021 and working as an Intellectual Property Consultant at Chelmer IP from September 2020, Gillian has held significant roles in various organizations. Previous positions include Head of Intellectual Property at Teledyne e2v and Intellectual Property Manager at E2V TECHNOLOGIES PLC. Gillian's extensive experience is complemented by earlier roles as Senior IP Counsel at ALCATEL-LUCENT UK LIMITED and Lucent Technologies, Deputy Head of Intellectual Property at Marconi and Marconi PLC, and Senior Patent Attorney at The General Electric Company plc. Gillian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from The University of Manchester.
