Mary Kay Svedberg, Ph.D. has a long and varied work experience. In 2001, they began their career at Strayer University as a full-time faculty member for two years, then moved on to become the Associate Dean for four years. During this time, they also served as an Adjunct Faculty for Strayer's online program from 2001 to 2013. In 2005, they were promoted to Campus President at Westwood College, where they focused on enhancing student and financial outcomes. Mary Kay also created development opportunities for top managers and employees, and established the school's credibility with the student body and the wider community. In 2016, they moved to Stratford University as the Campus President, where they orchestrated staff hiring and student retention strategies, initiated a campus remodel, and implemented operational best practices. Finally, in 2017, they joined CFP Board as the Director of Education, and in 2022, they were appointed as the Vice President of Academics at CeriFi.
Mary Kay Svedberg, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Human Development - Adult Learning & Human Resource Development from Virginia Tech, a Master of Education (MEd) in Higher Education Administration from William & Mary, and a Bachelor of Science in Family and Child Development with a concentration in Human Services from Virginia Tech.
