Ilaria Luise, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Research Fellow in the IT Department at CERN, focusing on the EMP2 Project related to Environmental Modelling and Prediction, in collaboration with the Juelich Supercomputing Center and the University of Magdeburg. Prior experience includes a role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Stony Brook University, where involvement in the ATLAS experiment centered on the search for Standard Model Higgs boson decay to the fermion sector. Ilaria also conducted research at CERN as a Visiting Researcher, contributing to the paper on the first observation of Higgs boson decay to b-quarks, a key milestone in the Run2 physics program. Additionally, a brief tenure as a Visiting PhD Student at DESY involved testing the radiation hardness of Silicon Photomultipliers for the ATLAS Inner Detector upgrade. Educational qualifications include a PhD in physics from Sorbonne Université and degrees from Paris-Sud University and the Università degli Studi di Ferrara.
