Louise Carvalho has extensive legal experience spanning over two decades in various roles primarily focused on international law and administration. Currently serving as a Legal Adviser and Diversity & Inclusion Programme Leader at CERN since October 2014, Carvalho previously held positions such as Legal Officer at the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, Senior Legal Adviser to the Director of Administration at the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, and Legal Adviser within the UNMIK Economic Development sector. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Legal Officer with the United Nations Mission in Kosovo and as a Consultant at Arthur Andersen. Louise Carvalho holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from The University of British Columbia, a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary, and has studied International Law at Københavns Universitet and Sciences Po Grenoble.
