Valentina Berlin

Material Scientist for ISOLDE target

Valentina Berlin is a highly skilled material scientist with a strong background in nanotechnology and materials engineering. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree from Politecnico di Milano, along with a Master's degree from Ecole Polytechnique de Louvain. Professional experience includes a role as a Master Thesis Student at VOCSens, where Valentina developed protocols for graphene oxide reduction and collaborated on experiment design. Currently, Valentina serves as a Material Scientist for the ISOLDE target at CERN, contributing to target and ion source development. Additionally, Valentina co-founded NINE, an association focused on innovation in nanotechnologies at Politecnico di Milano, and held the position of head of the IT and electronics sector commission.
