Alfonso Palacio Castilla is an accomplished mining professional with extensive experience in project management, geotechnical studies, and mining infrastructure development. Currently serving as Project Superintendent at Cerro de Pasco Resources Inc. since January 2022, responsibilities include overseeing mining infrastructure project management, reporting, and technical support for mining studies under NI 43-101 and JORC Standards. Previous roles include Senior Project Engineer at Cerro de Pasco Resources Inc., Geotechnical Specialist at MATSA, and Senior Geomechanics Geologist at MINESA Sociedad Minera de Santander. With a Master’s degree in Mining Engineering and Management from South Dakota Mines and a Geologist degree from Universidad Industrial de Santander, Alfonso combines technical expertise with strong leadership in geotechnical assessments and project execution.
