Anvay Patil

Anvay Patil, Ph.D., serves as a Sr. Research Engineer I at CertainTeed since May 2022, bringing extensive experience in research and engineering from previous roles, including a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Akron from August 2016 to May 2022. There, Anvay contributed to a significant multi-disciplinary research initiative funded by the AFOSR, focusing on melanin's biology, chemistry, and nanoscience, and played a key role in leading cross-functional teams. Anvay has held various positions in academic governance and student organizations, enhancing the educational experience for peers. Prior work experience includes internships at Erobern Events, 3M, and ONGC, where responsibilities ranged from marketing strategies to research in organic coatings. Anvay earned a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The University of Akron and a Bachelor's degree in Polymer Engineering and Technology from the Institute of Chemical Technology.
