Mathew Derr has had a long and varied career in the technology industry. Mathew has worked for Certes Networks since 2014, where they have served as a Lead QA Engineer and Senior QA Engineer. In their roles at Certes Networks, they have updated existing automation to support python3, spearheaded a large refactoring effort of old code, added support for open source traffic generator, incorporated Docker into the framework, and been the main Reviewboard reviewer for QA. Prior to Certes Networks, they worked at Vocollect from 2012 to 2014 as an MTSIV, where they implemented support for run time overrides to the Python based testing framework and brought consistency to QA and Lab infrastructure. From 2005 to 2012, they worked at ECI Telecom as a Lead Test Engineer, where they were the primary liaison with customer support and hardware/software teams for triaging hardware failures, and developed a new automation infrastructure that reduced the time for testing and integrating complex logic changes from months to days. Mathew also worked at Compunetix from 2001 to 2005 as a Computer Systems Analyst, where they developed a visual c++ scripting tool complete with GUI, integrated a Power On Self Test written in C/Asm for all the embedded components, and developed C/C++ software for MPC755/MPC8260 Power PC processor pair running OSE 4.4.1 with Board Support Package.
