Karel Urbanek

Karel Urbanek is a Senior Software Engineer at CertiCon a.s. since June 2015, specializing in the development of healthcare systems that process data from pacemakers and heart monitors for a major US-based medical client. Previously, Karel served as a Software Engineer, focusing on the development of information systems for the Czech state administration utilizing C#, ASP.NET, and MS SQL Server. Prior experience includes a role as a Software Developer at Tieto Czech from November 2013 to May 2015, and as a Software Developer in C# at Stora Enso from September 2010 to May 2011, where Karel implemented functionality for a production management system for sawmills in Northern Europe. Karel holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Technology with a focus on software engineering and information systems from VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, completed in 2013, and earlier completed a secondary technical education at the Technical College in Ostrava.
