Animal Welfare Auditor at Certified Humane®

Marcela Valadez is an experienced professional in animal welfare, currently serving as a member of the Comité de Bienestar Animal at Consejo Técnico Consultivo Nacional de Sanidad Animal since July 2023. As an Animal Welfare Consultant for Sistemas de Calidad en Alimentos, S.A. de C.V. and a Scientist in Farm Animal Welfare at Humane Society International since February 2022, Marcela Valadez provides expertise to the food sector related to animal-origin products. Additionally, since November 2020, Marcela Valadez has been an Animal Welfare Auditor for Humane Farm Animal Care (Certified Humane®) and has been involved in doctoral studies at FMVZ, UNAM since August 2017. Marcela Valadez holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Ciencias animales from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and a Licenciado en Medicina Veterinaria y Zootecnia with a focus on Animal Welfare from Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro.
