Sanjaya Marambage

Sanjaya Marambage's work experience begins with an internship at eCollege in 2008. Sanjaya then worked as a Software Engineer at DirectFN, where they designed and implemented solutions while adding features to the system. Sanjaya also communicated with customers and performed release management tasks.

In 2011, Sanjaya joined Pearson, where they held various roles over the years. Sanjaya started as a Software Engineer, developing high-quality and performant components. Sanjaya practiced and adhered to standards and agile processes.

Sanjaya then advanced to the position of Senior Software Engineer, responsible for the reliability and robustness of each deliverable. Sanjaya led the team to ensure on-time delivery, collaboratively designed systems, and maintained code repositories and cloud development environments.

Sanjaya later took on the role of Associate Technical Specialist, where they played a significant technical role in migrating a product from Dojo to AngularJS. Sanjaya designed and developed various product components, considered performance requirements, and contributed to the deployment architecture and scalability evaluation.

Sanjaya then became a Technical Specialist, Senior Technical Specialist, and finally a Principal Software Engineer, where they continued to contribute expertise in software development and technical leadership.

Currently, Sanjaya holds the position of Engineering Lead at Certiport - A Pearson VUE Business, where they began in 2023.

Sanjaya Marambage completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Information Technology with honors at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they obtained the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services in May 2017.
