Peace Ochanya Ojiyi

Learning Disabilities Support Worker at Certitude

Peace Ochanya Ojiyi has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a Learning Disabilities Support Worker (Bank) at Certitude since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Unibuddy Student Ambassador and Student Ambassador at St George's, University of London in 2021, where they engaged with prospective students and provided support and advice on university experiences. In 2020, they served as a Mental Health Counsellor at The Sunshine Series- Mind wellness. In 2017, they worked as a Female and More Self Esteem and Leadership Project Enabler at Youngstars Development Initiative, where they implemented and facilitated a self-esteem program for female students. Peace also served as a Virtual Internship Coordinator and Program Assistant at West African Academy of Public Health from 2016 to 2017, contributing to project design, research, training activities, and program development. In 2017, they were a Fellow at the Young African Leadership Initiative. Prior to that, Peace worked as an Agricultural Science/Geography Teacher at Prince Schools in Kaduna State, Nigeria, during their National Youth Service Corps in 2013-2014. Peace Ochanya also completed an industrial training at Federal Staff Hospital, Gwaimpa, Abuja in 2011.

Peace Ochanya Ojiyi completed their Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Madonna University Nigeria, from 2008 to 2013. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Science degree in Global Health and Mental Health at St George's, University of London, from 2021 to 2022.
