Liviu Hodoroaba

Liviu Hodoroaba has a strong background in cybersecurity, with over 20 years of experience in various roles. Liviu is currently working at certSIGN as an Information Security Auditor, where they conduct external security audits and provides information security consultancy for customers and suppliers. Prior to this, they worked at KranszWald Romania as a Cyber Security Professional Expert, specializing in CISSP, MSc (InfoSec), OSCP, GDRP, and NIS auditing. Liviu also has experience working as a self-employed Cyber Security Consultant, as well as a Technical and Cyber Security Consultant for GO BUSINESS SOLUTIONS. Liviu has held roles as Deputy Technical Director and Chief Information Security Officer at the General Inspectorate of Romanian Border Policy, as well as Chief Information Security Officer at the Human Resources Management Directorate of the Ministry of Defence. Liviu started their career as a network administrator at the Ministry of Defence. Overall, they have a diverse range of experience in cybersecurity and has shown expertise in various aspects of the field.

Liviu Hodoroaba completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Engineering at the Military Technical Academy Bucharest from 1995 to 2000. Liviu continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master's degree in Engineering Science (MSc) with a specialization in Management of Information Security (InfoSec) from 2005 to 2007.

In addition to their formal education, Liviu Hodoroaba has pursued various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of information security. Liviu obtained the Computer Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP®) certification from ISC2 in June 2016. In August 2017, they obtained the OSCP certification for penetration testing from Offensive Security. Additionally, they completed a certification on General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is qualified to act as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) from TID in February 2017. Most recently, in October 2021, they acquired the Security auditor certification from DNSC Romania.
