Mikel Rius is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the beer and renewable energy sectors. As the founder of Beer Events SL since June 2011, Mikel has been instrumental in organizing events related to craft beer, notably the Barcelona Beer Festival. Mikel co-owns Cerveses La Pirata since May 2019 and serves as the head teacher of 'The Beer Sector' in the University Master's degree in Fermented Beverages at Universitat Rovira i Virgili since January 2015. Mikel is recognized as a qualified beer judge through the Beer Judge Certification Program since February 2016. Prior experience includes teaching vocational training in automotive and electronics at Generalitat de Catalunya from November 2008 to December 2015, and engineering roles focused on renewable energies at PASCH & CIA and EPG - Estudis i Projectes Grau. Mikel began the career in project engineering related to renewable energies at Trama TecnoAmbiental, S.L. Mikel holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, obtained between 1995 and 2001.
