Gabriella Piffer possesses extensive experience in environmental consulting and geology. Currently serving as a Consultora Ambiental and Geóloga Plena at Cetrel since July 2022, Gabriella previously held positions at Arcadis as an Analista Ambiental Pleno and Analista Ambiental Jr from August 2019 to July 2022. Academic contributions include tenure as a Bolsista de graduação at Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, focusing on stratigraphic studies and mapping in the Bauru Basin, along with participating in the PFRH program. Additional research experience was gained at Universiteit Gent. Gabriella's foundational roles in quality coordination and technology consulting were established during time at Minas Jr - Consultoria Mineral. Gabriella's educational qualifications encompass an ongoing MBA in management of contaminated areas from Escola Politécnica da USP and a Master's degree in Geology from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, along with a Bachelor's degree in Geology and a technical degree in Administration.

Cetrel was formely created as an environmental protection company 40 years ago, to treat efluents and solid residues of more than 70 industries of the Camaçari Industrial Complex in Bahia, as well as air monitoring of the area and its surroundings. Looking at new opportunities in the environmental area, the company started an R&D group to develop technology focusing on adding value to efluents and solid residues of different industries.
