Dr. Dimitrios Sikoutris

Dr. Dimitrios Sikoutris has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries. Dr. Dimitrios currently works at Cevotec as the Team Lead Production Technology and the Team Lead Application Development. Prior to that, they worked at BMW Group as a Senior Aerothermal & CFD Engineer, where they focused on modeling automotive thermal management systems and conducting CFD simulations. Dr. Dimitrios also has experience working as an Aeronautical Consultant for the Hellenic Army, Corps of Engineers/Technicians, where they provided instruction on composite materials maintenance and repair procedures. Dr. Sikoutris has also worked as an External Aerothermal Research Consultant for projects funded by the EU, focusing on multifunctional layers for safer aircraft composite structures and thermal management of electronics systems. Their previous roles include Aerospace Supervisor at the ATLAS Aircraft Project, Aerothermal Research Engineer, and PhD Candidate at CFD/FEM Group, and External Consultant at Naftosol S.A. Dr. Dimitrios has also participated in student projects such as the design and manufacturing of solar cars. Overall, Dr. Sikoutris has a strong background in composites, aerothermal research, and project management.

Dr. Dimitrios Sikoutris completed their education in the field of aerospace engineering. Dr. Dimitrios obtained their MEng and Dipl. Eng. degree from the Department of Mechanical & Aeronautics Engineering at the University of Patras. This period of education lasted from 2000 to 2005. Following that, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical Engineering from the same department and university, from 2006 to 2012.
