Thorsten Groene

Thorsten Groene has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Thorsten is currently the CEO & Co-Founder of Cevotec, where they focus on empowering composite manufacturers to produce complex composites using automation technology. Prior to this, they worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence and Research Associate at the Technical University Munich from 2014 to 2015.

Thorsten also has experience in global consulting engagements, having worked as a (Senior) Manager at Monitor Deloitte (ex Monitor Group) from 2010 to 2014. Thorsten'sresponsibilities included project leadership, acquisition, and consulting in industries such as chemicals and industrial goods.

Before that, they worked as an Expansion Manager at MadBid.com, where they contributed to the start-up of an online trading and auction platform. Thorsten also worked as a (Senior) Consultant at Monitor Deloitte from 2005 to 2008, specializing in industries such as chemicals, logistics, and pharma.

Thorsten began their career as a Mergers and Acquisitions Intern at J.P. Morgan in 2004, where they focused on the natural resources industry. Thorsten Groene began their education in 2003 with an exchange program at Tulane University's A.B. Freeman School of Business, where they studied Business Administration. In 2004, they pursued their undergraduate studies at Northeastern University and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Finance in 2005. Moving forward, they attended ESB Business School at Reutlingen University from 2001 to 2005, earning a Master's Degree in Business Administration. In 2009, they participated in an MBA Exchange Program at the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business, focusing on Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital. Lastly, they completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at IESE Business School from 2008 to 2010, specializing in General Management.
