Waruna Kithruwan has a diverse work experience in the software development and DevOps field. waruna started their career as an Associate Software Engineer at Eniplex (Pvt) Ltd. in August 2016 and worked there until January 2018. In April 2018, they joined Ceylon Solutions as a Software Engineer and worked in that role until April 2021. waruna then moved up to the position of Associate DevOps Engineer at Ceylon Solutions and worked in that role from April 2021 to April 2022. Currently, they are employed as a DevOps Engineer at Ceylon Solutions, starting from April 2022.

Waruna Kithruwan attended Sripallee Collage from 2001 to 2016, where they completed their Advanced Level (A/L) and Ordinary Level (O/L) education. Aside from that, they also studied Computer Software Engineering at the Institute of Java & Software Engineering CMJD/ABSD (IJSE). No specific start and end dates were provided for their time at IJSE.
