Miriam Schmitter

Miriam Schmitter has extensive experience in the private equity industry. Miriam worked as a Managing Director at CF Private Equity from 2014 to the present. In this role, they were responsible for sourcing, due diligence, and monitoring of European and Emerging Markets private equity, venture capital, and natural resources funds. Miriam was also a member of the company's global investment committee.

Prior to that, Miriam worked at Cambridge Associates from 2005 to 2014, where they held the position of Managing Director - International Private Equity Research. Miriam led CA's European and Emerging Market Private Equity and Venture Capital Research, conducting sourcing, due diligence, recommendation, and monitoring of funds in these markets. Miriam regularly presented market trends and investment recommendations to internal consultants and clients and played an active role in strategic development, marketing, and diligence practices.

Before joining Cambridge Associates, Miriam worked as an Investment Manager at Allianz Private Equity Partners from 2002 to 2005. Prior to that, they were an Associate in Private Equity (direct investments) at DB Capital Partners/DB Investor from 2000 to 2002.

Miriam's career began at Deloitte & Touche in 1998 as an Analyst/ Associate in Assurance and Transaction Services. Miriam worked there until October 2000.

Miriam Schmitter completed their undergraduate education at the University of Mannheim from 1993 to 1997. During this time, they obtained a degree in Business Administration and Management, General, earning an MBA/Dipl. Kauffrau. Subsequently, they pursued further education at Technische Universität Darmstadt from 1998 to 2001, where they successfully obtained a PhD in Economics.
