Leo Schmidt, CFA, is the Chief Investment Officer at River Eddy Capital Management since April 2016, where capital is managed for a select group of private investors with a focus on creating wealth through strategic asset allocation. Schmidt also serves as the Chair of the Institutional Asset Management Group at CFA Society New York, organizing biannual Market Outlook events and monthly Investment Roundtable discussions. Prior roles include Vice President Senior Equity Analyst at The Chubb Corporation, managing a $1.9 billion equity portfolio, and positions at Advent Capital Management, Nuveen Investments, Reich & Tang Asset Management, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Schmidt holds a BA in Economics and History from Columbia University and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from NYU Stern School of Business. In 2023, Schmidt was recognized as CFA Institute's Volunteer of the Year for the Americas.
