Joan Duffell

Joan Duffell has a distinguished career in education and nonprofit leadership, notably serving at the Committee for Children since October 1983, where Joan recently retired as Executive Director and now acts as a Special Advisor. Prior to this role, Joan held various positions including Director of US & International Partnerships and Director of Marketing & Community Education. Joan's experience also includes a role as Community Education Coordinator at Childhaven and serving as a Kindergarten Teacher. Joan began a journey with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps Northwest, teaching in an early childhood program while living with the Ursuline Sisters. Educational credentials include studies at Portland State University and the University of Washington.
