Andrzej Przekwas

Andrzej Przekwas worked as a Member of the Materials Technical Advisory Committee at the Bureau of Industry and Security, U.S. Department of Commerce starting in November 2018. Prior to that, they served as the CTO and Sr V.P. Research at CFD Research Corp for over 25 years. At CFD Research Corp, they led the Computational Medicine and Biology Division, where they developed software tools for mathematical modeling in various fields including physiology, pharmacology, traumatic brain injury, and personalized medicine.

Andrzej Przekwas began their education in 1970 at the Wroclaw Institute of Technology in Poland, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Andrzej successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechanical Engineering in 1976.

Afterwards, from 1979 to 1981, they attended the Imperial College of Science and Technology in London, England. During this time, they engaged in post-doctoral studies specializing in Computational Fluid Dynamics of Chemically Reactive Flows.
