Dana Dement

Dana Dement is a Senior Research Engineer at CFD Research Corporation since October 2021, where leadership in the SBIR initiative focuses on synthesizing and characterizing inorganic infrared emitters for advancing Air Force testing technologies. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Scientist at AEgis Technologies from August 2019 to October 2021, during which Dana established a colloidal nanoparticle synthesis laboratory and contributed to various DoD SBIR projects. Dana also served as a Laboratory Safety Officer and PhD Researcher at the University of Minnesota from 2013 to 2019, overseeing safety standards in multiple labs and conducting significant research in chemical engineering and materials science. Earlier research positions at Rice University and the University of Minnesota involved developing synthesis methods for photovoltaic materials and characterizing thin films for energy applications. Academic credentials include a PhD from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. from Rice University.
