Nicolás García-Huidobro

Nicolás García-Huidobro, CFA has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Nicolás started their career as an Intern at Andes Asset Management in 2007. Later, they worked as a Research Analyst at Compass Group from June 2009 to November 2011, providing extensive financial analysis of Latin American companies in various sectors and developing relationships with market participants. From December 2011 to January 2015, they served as a Research Analyst, conducting in-depth analysis and providing investment recommendations for portfolio managers. As a Senior Research Analyst from February 2015 to August 2022, Nicolás focused on analyzing stressed, distressed, and higher-risk companies in Latin America, including evaluating capital structures and potential restructuring scenarios. Nicolás also gained experience as a Co-Portfolio Manager and is currently the Head of Research for Peru, Colombia, and Central America at Compass Group. In addition, Nicolás serves as a Board Member for CFA Society Chile since December 2020.

Nicolás García-Huidobro, CFA has a Master of Science in Finance from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, which was obtained in 2008. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Commercial Engineering with a concentration in Finance from the same university, graduating in 2007. Additionally, they hold several certifications including a CFA Charterholder, obtained in 2014, and a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute, which is expected to be obtained in 2023. Nicolás also completed a Python for Everybody Specialization from Coursera in 2019 and volunteered for the CFA Institute's 2015 Research Challenge.
