Michael Hynes has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Michael started their career in 2005 as the Director of IT and Senior Systems Administrator at GREATER AUSTIN DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, where they created the IT department and managed all servers, workstations, and telecommunication systems. In 2008, they founded their own consulting company, Mike Hynes Consulting, where they served as a Security and Access Control Project Manager/Consultant, overseeing the implementation of IP-based security systems and leading a team for the Branson Airport project.

In 2010, Michael worked as a contractor for Kforce Technology Staffing at The Home Depot's Austin Technology Center, and then transitioned to a full-time role as an Associate Operations Specialist and later Associate System Specialist at The Home Depot, providing technical support and troubleshooting for 2200+ stores.

From 2015 to 2018, they joined NICE Systems as a Professional Services Engineer, contributing to the implementation of their systems. Finally, in 2018, Michael joined CGS Comtel Global Services LLC as an Installation Support Engineer, TIER 2. Their responsibilities included field operations, site audits, installations, and providing technical support to external customers. Michael also traveled extensively, often up to 90% of the time, for installations, training, and field operations.

Michael Hynes attended The University of Kansas from 1974 to 1978, where they completed coursework in Physical and Health Education. Prior to that, they obtained a High School Diploma from Olathe High in 1974. In terms of additional certifications, they completed XML Essential Training at Lynda.com in November 2017, Troubleshooting Your Network with Wireshark in September 2016, SQL Server 2014 Essential Training twice in July 2016, and SQL Essential Training in June 2016. Additionally, they attended Nikken University in January 2010 for an unspecified training related to humans.
