Octavio Perez-Garcia has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Octavio is currently the Head of Research at CH4Global, where they focus on developing innovative livestock supplement products to reduce methane production by over 90%.

Octavio also worked as a Process and Design Engineer in wastewater treatment.

Octavio began their career in academia, working as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Doctoral Candidate in Environmental Engineering and Biotechnology at The University of Auckland. Octavio also served as a Research Fellow at Iberoamerican University and gained experience as a Sampling Technician at Onsite Laboratories Mexico.

Additionally, Octavio has dedicated their time to social development and water management in rural indigenous communities as a Social Development Volunteer for the Diocese of Sierra Tarahumara.

Prior to that, they completed a Master in Science (MSc) degree in Biotechnology from CIBNOR - National Ministry of Science and Technology, Mexico, from 2007 to 2009. Octavio earned a Bachelor's Degree (Bs) in Biology from Universidad de Guadalajara between 2002 and 2006. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications, including Leadership and Innovation Programme from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Finance Essentials from the Institute of Directors in New Zealand, Industrial Biotechnology Certification from Technische Universiteit Delft, and several others.
