Karen Morse is an experienced outdoor and wilderness instructor currently serving as an Instructor at the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) and a Wilderness Medicine Instructor at NOLS Wilderness Medicine. Additionally, Karen works as a Swiftwater and Packrafting Instructor at the Swiftwater Safety Institute. With a strong background in outdoor education, Karen has held positions as an Outdoor Instructor at both Chadwick School and Crossroads School for Arts & Sciences since 2015. Previous experience includes instructing river trips at the Colorado Outward Bound School and serving as Activities Manager at Schweitzer. From 2011 to 2021, Karen was an Instructor and Course Director at the Northwest Outward Bound School, managing wilderness expeditions for high school students. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication & Media Studies and Comparative Literary & Cultural Studies from Franklin University Switzerland.
