Melanie Chung has a extensive work experience in sourcing and procurement. Melanie is currently the Head of Sourcing Americas at Chain IQ Group AG. Prior to this, they worked at American Express as the Director of Global Supply Management, where they led various sourcing initiatives and was a member of the US Talent Rotation Board. Before that, they served as the Vice President of Global Supply Services at JPMorgan Chase & Co. and as the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Manager at Walmart eCommerce, where they led sourcing and procurement initiatives for multiple categories. Melanie also held positions at Google and Pfizer as a Supplier Sourcing Manager and Global IT Procurement Manager, respectively. Earlier in their career, they worked at Verizon as a Senior Sourcing Consultant and Sourcing Process Leader. Melanie started their professional journey as an Intern at Affinity Solutions.
Melanie Chung earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a focus on Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. In addition, they have obtained the Professional Engineering License (EIT) from the New York State, and completed a certification in EXECUTIVE PRESENCE AND INFLUENCE: PERSUASIVE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT from Emeritus in 2022.
