Vanessa Schroeder

Vanessa Schroeder is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Director of Internal Communications at Chainguard since October 2025. Previously, Vanessa was the Senior Manager of Internal and Executive Communications at Appfire, where responsibilities included building the company's first internal communications program during significant growth. At GitHub, Vanessa led various internal and executive communications initiatives, including major events and crisis communication strategies. Prior roles include Employee Communications Manager and Global Employee Communications Associate at Citrix, where focus areas included content strategy and measurement for global communications, as well as IT communications for critical initiatives. Vanessa's career began at Berkowitz Pollack Brant Advisors + CPAs as a Marketing Manager and Coordinator. Vanessa holds an MBA from Florida International University and a BA in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Florida State University.
