George Golovko has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. George has worked at various companies and organizations, starting their career at Intercom Trading as a System Administrator and then transitioning to the role of Software Developer. George later became the Head of the IT Department, where they were responsible for developing and maintaining the IT strategic plan, managing projects and budgets, and coordinating priorities between the IT department and user departments.
George then moved on to the University of Houston, where they worked as a Research Assistant Professor and later as a Project Manager at the Center for BioMedical and Environmental Genomics. In these roles, they were involved in the development of pipelines, reports, and documentation for bioinformatics projects, as well as managing software development and computational teams.
George also worked as an External Consultant at Eureka Genomics, where they optimized algorithms in existing pipelines, designed and developed novel data structures, and organized testing environments for bioinformatics tasks.
George's experience in the academic field includes roles at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston as an Assistant Professor, Senior Research Scientist, and Research Scientist. In these roles, they conducted large-scale research projects, managed laboratory budgets and personnel, and collaborated on multi-PI projects.
George also served as a Member of the Advisory Board at Tino Digital Agency, where they provided guidance and expertise in digital marketing strategies.
Currently, George is working at ChaiOne as a Lead Data Science Consultant, where they apply their expertise in data science to provide consulting services.
Additionally, George co-founded Industrial Metagenomics, where they serve as the CSO and is involved in the strategic and operational aspects of the company.

George Golovko attended Odessa National Polytechnic University from 2002 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science. George then pursued further education at the University of Houston from 2008 to 2012, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Computer Science.
