Faraz Hasan

Faraz Hasan is a legal professional with extensive experience in various roles within the legal domain. Currently serving as Legal Manager at Chalhoub Group since June 2018, Faraz specializes in providing legal advice on e-commerce, IT, data protection, investment, and commercial matters across multiple jurisdictions, and oversees the Strategy, Growth, Innovation, and Investment (SGII) and Tech&Data verticals. Prior to this role, Faraz held positions as Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel, focusing on drafting and negotiating digital commerce agreements and other key contracts. As the founder of Maelstrom Designs from December 2015 to June 2018, Faraz successfully built a profitable start-up specializing in web and mobile application development. Earlier experience includes serving as Legal Counsel at Al Zarooni Emirates Investments from December 2011 to November 2015, leading the legal team and managing the firm's complete legal operations. Faraz holds an LLM in International Economic Law from SOAS University of London, as well as a LPC from BPP Law School, and an LLB from SOAS University of London.
