Joaquín Mencía

Joaquín Mencía is currently working as the Chief Innovation Officer at Chalhoub Group since June 2022. Prior to this, they were an Associate Professor at IE Business School starting from October 2020. In addition, Joaquín has also held the position of Board Member at Havas Middle East, Wethenew, Scopernia, and Zbooni, starting from June 2023. From May 2010, they have been working as an Angel Investor, focusing on developing markets and underserved categories within developed markets. Joaquín has also held significant roles such as Managing Director in various companies including Tillster, Inc. (from November 2019 to June 2022), Keatz (from October 2017 to November 2019), and Uniplaces (from June 2016 to September 2017).

Joaquín Mencía completed their Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Navarra from 2001 to 2005. Joaquín then pursued an MBA at IE Business School in 2010 and at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management in 2011. In 2012 and 2013, they took part in an Executive Education program at Stanford University, focusing on Venture Lab.
