Layne Shepherd

Layne Shepherd is a seasoned professional in the sports management field, currently serving as a Recruitment Executive at Challenger Sports since August 2022, connecting talented soccer coaches from Ireland to coaching opportunities in the United States. Previous experience includes roles as Program Manager at Northern Soccer Club and as Head Women's Soccer Coach at Kansas (Olathe) Rush Soccer Club, where Layne guided young children in developing basic soccer skills. Earlier positions include internship at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, account executive at International Sports Management, and assistant men’s soccer coach for the Youth Soccer Association of Greater St. Joseph. Layne's educational background includes a Master's degree in Sports Administration from Upper Iowa University and a Master's degree in Sports Management, currently being pursued at University College Dublin, alongside a Bachelor's degree from Missouri Western State University.
