Claes Sommansson

Claes Sommansson currently serves as Group Manager for Chalmers Centres at Chalmers Industriteknik, overseeing research center managers across various sectors including med-tech, nano-tech, and traffic safety, while also focusing on business development in energy and urban development. Previously, Claes held multiple roles at Johanneberg Science Park AB, culminating as Head of Projects and Director for Open Arena Energy. Prior experience includes positions as Research and Development Strategist and Project Manager at Göteborg Energi, specializing in district heating, cooling, biogas, and smart grids. Claes began a career as a Process Engineer at TecNet Nordic AB and holds a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a focus on Energy and Environmental Science from Chalmers University of Technology.
