José R. Feliciano

José Feliciano is an accomplished leader in grant management and strategic consultancy with a focus on education, culture, and the arts. Currently serving as the Director of Grant Programs at Chamber Music America since July 2022, José manages a $1.3M grant portfolio supporting various ensembles and presenting organizations. As the founder of Be Intentive LLC, a consultancy dedicated to equity-focused transformations, José has facilitated numerous initiatives that uplift community expertise. José's background includes roles as an equity team leader and social studies teacher, where emphasis was placed on cultural competence and social justice. Previous experiences encompass leadership in grant-making at the Greater Hartford Arts Council and advocacy work with the Hispanic Federation. José holds a Master’s degree in American Studies from Penn State University and was a National Association of Latino Arts & Cultures Leadership Institute Fellow.
