James Lee currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Chambers and Partners, a position held since September 2018. Previously, James held various senior roles at News UK from 2005 to 2016, leading digital and technology initiatives across multiple publications and overseeing the transformation of technology delivery from project-based to product-based management. James also served as Director of Digital Product at House of Fraser (2016-2018) and managed technology projects at AXA Tech (2000-2005). Early career experiences include roles at Alstom Power Conversion. James holds a BSc (HONS) in Computer Science from Aberystwyth University and completed an Executive Programme at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008. Additionally, James serves as Trustee Director of the News UK Pension Plan, overseeing pension scheme management and investment strategies.
