Allen Clare

Allen Clare is the current Director at CHAMBLISS CENTER FOR CHILDREN. Prior to that, they were the General Manager, Midwest Regulated Fleet for Duke Energy Corporation from August 2011 to May 2016. Their responsibilities included ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Coal, Combined Cycle, Coal Gasification, Simple Cycle CT and Hydro Generating stations across the Midwest region, which comprises Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio.

From September 2008 to August 2011, Clare was the Operations Superintendent for Progress Energy. And before that, they worked as Maintenance Manager for Sithe Energies/Dynegy from April 1993 to October 2008, where they managed a staff of 13 technicians, 1 planner and 1 BOP engineer responsible for the reliability of Independence Station located in Oswego NY. The plant consisted of two 2X1 power blocks; 4 GE 7FA CTs and 2 GE D11 STs.

Clare's professional journey began as a Gas Turbine Engineer (electrical) for the US Navy from April 1987 to April 1993.

Allen Clare graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. Allen then went on to obtain their Master of Business Administration from National University.
