The Chamilo Association is an international non-profit association which aims at promoting, improving and protecting the freedom (free software character) of the e-learning software Chamilo. Managed by a intercontinental voluntary board of directors, it coordinates the efforts of the different actors around the Chamilo software projects in order to maximize efficiency and the benefits to the public community. The official mission of the Chamilo Association is to increase the availability of a quality education all around the globe (and the rest of our solar system). It does so through the continuous development of the Chamilo e-learning suite, which already benefitted more than 20 million users worldwide.
