Joseph Granado

Director, Student Activities & Leadership at Chaminade University of Honolulu

Joseph Granado is an experienced leader in student activities and programming. Joseph has worked at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is currently the Director of Student Activities & Leadership at Chaminade University of Honolulu.

At MIT, Joseph was responsible for managing and reconciling a $250,000 budget for leadership programs. Joseph also recruited, hired, and supervised two Student Activities Office Graduate Assistants. In addition, Joseph served as the Program Coordinator and Cluster Facilitator for the annual LeaderShape session.

As Director of Student Activities & Leadership at Chaminade University of Honolulu, Joseph coordinates, develops, and delivers curriculum for Student Organization Training, the Community Catalyst Leadership Program (CCLP), and the “How to Adult” Leadership and Professional Development Series. Joseph also advises the Freshman and Sophomore Class Councils, the Class Ring Committee, the First-Year Leadership Pre-Orientation Program (FPOP), and co-advises the Fall Career Fair Committee.

In addition to their work in student activities, Joseph also serves on the Diversity and Inclusion Committee within the Division of Student Life and is a reviewer for Graduate Student Life Grants (GSLG).

Joseph Granado studied biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio and received a Bachelor of Science degree. After working in the corporate world for a few years, they decided to pursue a career in higher education administration and received a Master of Science degree from Texas A&M University in student affairs. Joseph also has a diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education.
