Alireza Tavanfar is an accomplished researcher with extensive experience in neuroscience and theoretical physics. Currently serving as a Visiting Faculty member at the Institute of Neuroscience at the University of Oregon and as a Research Fellow at the Champalimaud Foundation, Tavanfar also holds a long-standing position as a Visiting Scientist at CERN, where involvement spans from postdoctoral research to senior research roles. Tavanfar's academic journey includes a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University and a diverse background in string theory, mathematical physics, and elementary particle physics, culminating in a PhD obtained from CERN and IPM.
