Anabel Rodriguez Simões is a highly experienced researcher in the field of molecular biosciences. Currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Champalimaud Foundation since October 2015, Anabel has contributed to the Stem Cells and Regeneration Group, previously working as a PhD Researcher where the thesis focused on the molecular mechanisms of neural stem cell activation following brain injury. Anabel's background includes roles as a Research Technician, Research Associate, and participation in various international projects related to nerve regeneration and mitochondrial disorders. Academic qualifications include a PhD from ITQB NOVA and a Master's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from FCTUC, along with a postgraduate degree in clinical trials from the Lisbon School of Medicine. Anabel has also published work on polysaccharides from Pleurotus ostreatus with antitumor activity.
