Amir Rafe

Amir Rafe is a seasoned researcher in the field of transportation and highway engineering, currently serving as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Texas State University since September 2025. Prior to this role, Amir was a Graduate Research Assistant at Utah State University from August 2022 to August 2025 and an Algorithm Engineer at Ramona T&I Research Institute from November 2015 to July 2022. Amir's expertise also includes experience as a Transport Modeler & Data Scientist at IRIANA Co. from May 2015 to June 2020, and as a Pedestrian Modeling Specialist & Transportation Researcher at IUST Transportation Research Center from August 2012 to May 2015. Amir holds a PhD in Transportation and Highway Engineering from Utah State University, a Master of Science in the same field from IAU-South Tehran Branch, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from IAU. Education began with a Diploma in Mathematics and Physics at Arhashem.
