Nelson Descalço

Nelson Descalço currently serves as a guest assistant in Fundamentals of Neurosciences at NOVA Medical School - Faculdade de Ciências Médicas since September 2023. Nelson is also a PhD student at the Neuropsychiatry Unit in the Oliveira-Maia Lab at the Champalimaud Foundation, a position held since January 2023. Additionally, Nelson has been a psychiatric intern at Hospital Garcia de Orta, EPE since January 2018, covering both the psychiatric internship and the common year internship. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Health Sciences - Medicine branch from NOVA Medical School - Faculdade de Ciências Médicas, which has been pursued since October 2021, and an Integrated Master's degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, completed in 2017.
