Pedro Garcia da Silva

Pedro Garcia da Silva is a skilled researcher with a strong background in neurobiology and neurosciences, holding two Ph.D. degrees from Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory and the Champalimaud Foundation. Currently serving in a scientific coordination and research support role at the Champalimaud Foundation since January 2016, Pedro has extensive experience in developing behavioral tasks for mice, surgical techniques for imaging, and optogenetic manipulations. Previous roles include a visiting graduate student at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, where Pedro advanced multi-photon calcium imaging and custom hardware development, as well as a research assistant at the Champalimaud Foundation. Early research experience includes enzyme characterization and testing of chemotherapeutic agents during an undergraduate position at Bridgewater State University.
