Rachel Bunting, MS, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Rachel began their career as a Summer Intern at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2000. Rachel later worked as a Lab Technician at Mercy Hospital until 2003. Rachel then pursued a Graduate Student role at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston from 2003 to 2005.
In 2005, Rachel joined Janssen, Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, where they held multiple positions over the course of eight years. Rachel started as an Associate Scientist, developing novel assays and providing support to pre-clinical target teams. Rachel was then promoted to Associate Scientist II and was later nominated as the Interim Head of Integrative Pathology, managing a team. Rachel also took on the role of Metrics and Reporting Lead for the Women's Leadership Initiative (WLI), conducting research analyses and implementing a satisfaction survey.
In 2013, Rachel joined FlowMetric, Inc as the Director of Business Development. Rachel was responsible for generating and progressing the company's sales and marketing strategy, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with potential clients. Rachel was later promoted to Senior Director of Global Business Development & Marketing, where their responsibilities expanded to include the development and progression of the company's sales and marketing strategy.
From 2018 to 2019, Rachel served as the VP of Global Sales & Marketing at FlowMetric, Inc. Rachel led global sales and marketing efforts, identified potential clients, and prepared materials for vendor exhibitions and conferences.
Most recently, Rachel joined Champions Oncology, Inc. in 2019 as the Sr Director, Head of Global Marketing. Rachel was responsible for leading the company's global marketing efforts and establishing a marketing strategy. Rachel was promoted to Vice President Global Marketing in May 2022 and continues to contribute to the company's marketing initiatives.
Rachel Bunting, MS, MBA, completed their education in a chronological manner. From 1999 to 2003, they attended Drake University and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology and Chemistry. Following this, they enrolled at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston) from 2003 to 2005. During this period, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree and specialized in Biomedical Science, with a focus on Infectious Disease, Tuberculosis, and Immunology. Finally, from 2008 to 2010, Rachel attended Drexel University's LeBow College of Business, where they attained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Their MBA concentration was in Pharmaceutical Management.
