Leslie Averill

Leslie Averill is the EVP & COO of Champlain College. Prior to this, they served as a consultant member of the Registry Advisory Services, where they co-designed the foundation and launched the new Student Affairs Crisis Management branch. Leslie also served as Interim Dean of Students and College Consultant for Sterling College. Leslie has also been with Champlain College in the past, serving as Vice President of Academic Affairs & Chief Operations Officer. During their time at Champlain College, Leslie has been instrumental in successfully launching 7 new academic programs. Leslie is dedicated to continually optimizing and refining what Champlain College does best: Deliver a uniquely distinctive and radically pragmatic model of education.

Dr. Leslie Averill is a certified Appreciative Inquiry Organizational Development and Change Management professional who received their Ed.D. from the University of Vermont in Leadership and Education Policy Studies. Leslie also has a Business Analytics, From Data to Insights Certificate from Wharton Executive Education and a Center for Creative Executive Leadership Certificate from the Center for Creative Leadership. In addition, they are qualified in Myers-Briggs Type Indicator and is a certified Trauma-Informed Sexual Assault Investigation and Adjudication Institute professional.

They are on a team with Patti Aldredge - President, Faculty Senate, Monique Taylor - Provost & Chief Academic Officer, and Robin Gronlund - VP, Enrollment Strategy & Marketing. Leslie Averill reports to David Finney, President. and Liza Geduldig - Director, Operations reports to Leslie Averill.
