Sr. R&d Engineer, Bioengineering at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub

Diane Wiener is a highly skilled professional in the fields of bioengineering and biochemistry with extensive experience spanning over two decades. As a Senior R&D Engineer at Chan Zuckerberg Biohub since June 2020, Diane leverages expertise acquired from previous roles as a Scientist II at Intrexon Corporation, where leadership in developing a Methane Bioconversion Platform significantly increased screening throughput. Prior experiences include serving as an Assay Development Engineer at Hampton Creek, where development of high-throughput screens for plant-based food products was achieved, and postdoctoral research fellowships at UC Berkeley and Emory University, focusing on innovative techniques to study protein and nucleic acid behaviors. Diane earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and holds multiple degrees in mechanical engineering and mathematics from Gannon University.
