Vivian Chung

Vivian Chung, CMP, has extensive experience in event planning and management, currently serving as a Senior Event Planner at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative since September 2019, where responsibilities include leading and executing events within the scientific and technology sectors. Prior to this role, Vivian served as a Senior Event Manager at W Hotels from February 2016 to August 2019, managing large group events, ensuring contract compliance, and developing client relationships. At Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts from June 2011 to January 2016, responsibilities included coordinating event logistics and driving sales through active solicitation. Initial experience included roles such as Front Desk Agent at Best Western International and involvement in the Special Events Management Team at Pebble Beach Company. Vivian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality, Recreation, Tourism & Event Management from San Jose State University, earned in 2011.
