David Bucca

Founder & CEO at Change Foods

David Bucca is the founder and CEO of Change Foods, a plant-based food company. Prior to starting Change Foods, David was the regional manager for Hungry Planet, one of the largest plant-based meat companies in the US. At Hungry Planet, David was responsible for helping to localize manufacturing to service the rapidly growing demand for these innovative products.

Before joining Hungry Planet, David was the COO of Hemple, an Australian hemp food company. At Hemple, David was responsible for the operational management of the organization, from coordinating the supply chain and manufacturing partners to implementing the global market strategy and product development.

David has a passion for helping people change the way they think about food and eat healthier, more sustainable options. David is a strong advocate for plant-based eating and believes that it is one of the best ways to improve our health and the health of our planet.

David Bucca graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Aviation Operations. David also has a Graduate Certificate of Management from Melbourne Business School.

David Bucca is also certified by SAI Global Assurance in Food Legislation and Labelling, SAI Global Assurance Services in Management Systems Auditing, SAI Global in Participate in Quality Audit, and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority in Commercial Aircraft Pilot. Additionally, they are certified by the Australian Institute of Food Safety as a Food Safety Supervisor and by Premium Health - First Aid Training & Specialised Health Solutions as a Provider of First Aid - Cert II.
