Carla Meyers has significant work experience in various roles and industries. Carla started their career in 2008 as an HIV Prevention Counselor at the Laguna Beach Community Clinic, where they administered rapid HIV tests and provided education and prevention counseling. From 2009 to 2011, they worked in the Peace Corps as a Rural Health and Sanitation Extensionist, conducting community assessments and advocating for community needs.
In 2011, Carla joined Meta House as a Volunteer and In-Kind Gifts Coordinator, where they cultivated relationships with potential volunteers and donors, redesigned the volunteer management system, and planned and led tours and special events. Carla later became the Private Grants and Communications Coordinator, responsible for writing grant proposals and reports for private foundations and producing public information materials.
In 2014, Carla joined ChangeLab Solutions as a Development Manager, overseeing business development efforts and securing funding from diverse sources. Carla also managed the organization's fund development systems and tracked progress in achieving development goals. Carla later served as the Chief of Staff, supporting the organization's operations.
Currently, Carla holds the position of Chief Operations Officer at ChangeLab Solutions, where they lead strategies to develop the internal infrastructure of the organization and strengthen its sustainability and impact through values-aligned operations.
Carla Meyers has a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations, Sociology, and Spanish from the University of San Diego. Additionally, they have pursued a graduate degree in International Affairs from Marquette University. However, specific start and end years for both degrees are not available.
